This course is 1 of 3 courses required in order to take the State Exam. The following courses required are:
- General Broker (90 Hours)
- Agency & Ethics (30 Hours)
- Office Management (30 Hours)
This course covers an in-depth aspect of the New Jersey real estate law and rules and regulations. The course also covers the following topics: agency, ethics, contracts, appraisal, federal law, fair housing, title, taxes, deeds, ownership methods, mortgage financing, and many other related subjects.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS BY THE NJ REC TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A BROKER'S LICENSE:
No applications for approval of an applicant's experience to qualify for licensure as a broker shall be made until an applicant:
- i. Has been continuously licensed as a salesperson for at least the 3 years full-time immediately preceding such application with ;
- ii. Has completed the 90-hour general broker's prelicensure course and the two 30-hour courses referred to in N.J.A.C. 11:5-2.1(g).
- iii. If the applicant was employed in any other occupation during the three-year period, such other employment was on a part-time basis and did not exceed 25 hours per calendar week.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
If a student cancels this class for any reason after they have signed up for the broker course, then the school will apply a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee. Tuition is not refundable 14 days prior to the scheduled start date for any reason. Therefore, it is the student’s responsibility to make sure they are eligible for a Broker’s License by contacting the NJ REC first if you are not certain you meet the requirements. The student is responsible for knowing their own license history prior to enrolling in the course. If a student signs up and it is later determined that they are not eligible to obtain an NJ Broker’s license that would not be a reason to get a full refund and the normal refund policy will apply. Deposits and tuition fees are non-transferable to another person and non-pro-ratable. No Exceptions!
